Bond with your team as you compete to create a stunning sushi platter.
Chef Mari draws upon years of experience in the restaurant world as well as her rich heritage to teach the art of sushi making to her students in this dynamic and inspiring cooking class.
During this class, Chef Mari will teach your team how to speak Japanese, along with a lesson on how to slice and plate sushi rolls. Later, you and your colleagues will divide into teams posed with the challenge to create your most unique and beautiful platter of sushi. Each team is given a set of ingredients and 30 minutes. The teams will be judged by the following: the presentation of the platter, the taste, and how much Japanese they remember. The winning team will receive a bottle of Ama-zake, a sweet non-alcoholic sake.
Chef Mari is available to come on-site to host in your office. Hosting at a third party venue requires an additional fee.

Meet your chef
Chef Mari is a critically acclaimed Japanese chef with a passion for teaching Japanese culinary history, traditions, and techniques to American students. With a background spanning the culinary gamut from catering to restauranteering, Chef Mari has been in command at Sozai Restaurant and Sake Lounge, Nombe, and Ramenburger. Currently, she's focused on teaching.
