In a dutch oven or a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat, heat about two inches of oil to 365°F. Measure and prep all ingredients.

Make the batter. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt and black pepper.

Whisk in the cold beer.

Dip the green beans into the batter.

Working in batches, fry the green beans in the hot oil for 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown. Transfer the green beans to a wire rack or paper towel lined plate to drain.

Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
