Explore the classic flavors of France over three courses in this private chef experience with Chef Rodney. Begin with a smoky trout pâté and garlic baguette bread, followed by your entrée featuring grilled beef tenderloin sided by duchess sweet potatoes, roasted asparagus and port wine demi glace. A French meal isn't complete without dessert! End your meal with an authentic chocolate soufflé and minted strawberry sauce.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to accompany the menu, and may request pairing recommendations from the chef upon booking.

With his enthusiastic personality and over 30 years of experience, Chef Rodney hosts incredibly entertaining cooking classes. He has an extensive background in hospitality, has been featured on Fox 5 in San Diego and has progressive experience as a sous chef, chef de cuisine and executive chef. He’s cooked for Aretha Franklin, Bill Gates and President George Bush and is now helming the kitchen at a classic American fare restaurant, giving new twists to signature items.

I can't say enough about this experience! My husband and I had an amazing time and what we made was delicious. Chef Rodney was funny, engaging, and interesting and his home was lovely and immaculate. We would definitely do another class with him and highly recommend this class to anyone who loves sushi.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My girlfriend and I took Chef Rodney’s class for Valentine’s Day, and we both loved it! Easily one of the best experiences we’ve had together. From the start, Chef Rodney made everything fun, interactive, and engaging. It wasn’t just about following a recipe—he really took the time to break things down and explain why certain techniques work, which made a huge difference. What really stood out was how hands-on the class was. It wasn’t just watching someone cook—we were in the mix, learning as we went. Chef Rodney’s energy was next level, and you could tell how passionate he is about what he does. That passion made the entire experience even better. We walked in excited and left feeling more confident in the kitchen (and full, which is always a win). Whether you’re looking for a unique date night, a fun activity, or just a way to level up your cooking skills, this class is 100% worth it. Whether you’re a total beginner or someone who already knows their way around the kitchen, you’ll walk away with new skills, more confidence, and a great experience. Can’t recommend it!!!

Chef Rodney was amazing. We learned a lot, had a great time, and the food was absolutely incredible. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to upgrade their date night.
