In this live and interactive online mixology class, you'll learn professional bartender tricks — such as muddling and balancing flavors — to craft three popular gin-based cocktails with Mixologist Anthony. Prep Work Details
Please prep fresh lemon juice, fresh lime juice and simple syrup beforehand. This will save you a lot of time during the class!
Simple syrup can either be purchased or made at home using the following steps:
Add a half cup of sugar and a half cup of water to a pot. Put on a medium flame and stir until the sugar crystals fully dissolve. If you like, you can put your simple syrup in the fridge to cool down before class.

The Professor was amazing! We had close to 150 participants for a virtual team building event and he was great interacting with the participants while helping to move things along. Easy to talk to, entertaining and a wealth of knowledge. Drinks were great!

Anthony is amazing! This is the second class I've done with him (first private class). He perfectly strikes a balance between teaching you the drinks, but also letting you socialize with others on the call (particularly if it's a private class). He has a great personality and positive energy that's a joy to be around. Oh, and the drinks are delicious!!

We took the gin class this past weekend and had a great time. Whether you're a gin lover or not, try it. Lately, my husband and I have been drinking different types of whiskey or tequila on the rocks. We are taking Professor Baker's classes to learn about expanding our options and learning the art of making beautiful drinks at home. Even as people get vaccinated and start to venture out, I think we'll continue to take his classes as there is something so rewarding about crafting such an awesome beverage and enjoying it in the comfort of your home....BONUS: It costs less than a sitter, the tab, and a taxi ride to get home safely. He's fun, a fantastic teacher, and full of fun facts and tips.

I couldn’t be more thrilled about how our private event turned out!! From Lauren on the customer service / sales team, to the ease of registering guests, to Tony “Professor” Baker leading the class, everything was perfect! Tony was accommodating in providing non-alcoholic options in advance to include with the ingredient lists, and he was personable, patient, knowledgeable and funny during the class. Recipes were easy to follow and will be easy to replicate in our own. Additionally, because it was a private class, there was plenty of time and opportunity to visit with other guests. I wasn’t sure how that would work, but Tony managed it all smoothly. Thank you! Highly recommend the private class option and will book with Tony again!

I was not happy that you moved the class from Friday until Sunday (Mother's Day). We had our kids over and I tried to log on and the audio was messed up and I couldn't get the camera to work properly. I wish you had let me pick an appropriate time as due to company I missed way too much of the class to be able to follow along.

I took this class a second time because it was the only one offered when my sister-in-law was visiting and she REALLY wanted to do a class. I have to say -- it was still super enjoyable even though we had already been in it!!! Professor Baker is just amazing. A passionate, intelligent, well-spoken, kind, flavor genius. We have taken all but 2 classes from him and Every. Single. Class. Is. Amazing. Even when I don't like the spirit, he balances the drinks out so brilliantly -- it's just so FN delish. My all time favorite class is the Tequila one, but you won't be disappointed in any of Anthony's classes.

Look no further. This is the Mixologist. We have been taking classes from Prof. Baker since COVID started. Our bar has expanded, our spirit palettes have been awakened......minds have been blown by the drinks we have served thanks to Anthony. My husband and I started taking the classes to use up some rum we had around for a while. (we are whiskey on the rocks drinkers) Little did we know that we would end up loving mixing up cocktails and experimenting with flavors. If you take enough of his classes, you'll not only have a great time, but you'll truly enjoy a beautifully crafted cocktail in the comfort of your home. .....no uber/lyft needed. I have been plenty drunk from his classes since I'm a lightweight (3 drinks in an hour is ....WOO!). Anyway -- take the class. You'll love it even if you don't like the featured spirit.....why? .....he's just that awesome.

This was my first mixology class (virtual or otherwise) and I didn't really know what to expect-- but we had a great time, and all three cocktails were delicious! The whole lesson was really well paced and easy to follow. Anthony was so funny and offered such great insights into the ingredients, how to balance the flavors, and how to adjust a strong cocktail to suit your tastes. A fantastic way to spend an evening!

YES!!! Love the bourbon class - I am not a bourbon lover (the class was for my husband) but I fell in love with many of the cocktails! Already registered for another class! He will work with you if you need to use other ingredients! All the cocktails were delicious and easy to make again at home!!!

The Vacation Cocktails class by Mixologist Anthony was such a great experience! I truly felt like I transported to a Caribbean island for an hour. Anthony is knowledgeable, fun, and a great instructor. I enjoyed that he made the class interactive but didn’t force conversation among the participants. He kept participants on task but still allowed us to ask questions if necessary. I can’t wait to take another one of his classes!

We have taken enough cooking classes and mixology classes from cozy meal to be able to say there is something uniquely awesome about Professor Baker...it’s a multitude of factors I suppose......his teaching style, laid back demeanor, intelligence, wit, and mixology mad skills. If a class doesn’t appeal to you because you don’t like the featured liquor - I would argue that THOSE are the classes you should take from him. I’m a whiskey or tequila on the rocks drinker that has been converted by professor Baker to expand my options — enjoy spirits...flavors....balance. I used to bartend but never experienced the joy of crafting a beautiful drink until his classes. Even as bars begin to open up - we will still sign up for any new classes he posts. Also, he’s such a nice guy.

I was tasked with finding a way for a group of us parents to get together for a "Parents Night In" event. It's been such a challenging year and normally we'd be getting together several times throughout the school year. However this was our first ever virtual event so I was a little unsure how it would go over (especially when most of us already feel so "zoomed out"). Honestly, I think we were all pleasantly surprised to find how enjoyable the class was. Definitely the best Zoom ever! Anthony is an INCREDIBLE host and knew exactly how to get us all relaxed and having fun within the first few minutes. We all learned a lot and the cocktails were amazing. (The pina caipirinha is my new go to for happy hour! The hour and a half flew by and it was a complete success. Everyone had so much fun and we all can't wait to do another session with Professor Baker.

Signed up for the bourbon drink class while we were taking the vacation drink one. You won't be disappointed. He's a great teacher, interesting individual, full of knowledge, and a genius mixologist. I'm excited to take all his classes so we broaden our knowledge of spirits, flavors, balancing, and more. It's not your typical drink recipes. They've all got a fabulous twist to them.

Freakin' Genius Mixologist and a fantastic teacher. Full disclosure: I took this class to use up my rum and not because I like mixed drinks. I drink whiskey on the rocks. Professor Baker at one point asked "Why did you sign up for this?" Well, I am grateful for that old bottle of rum I've had because it brought me to Professor Baker. I have NEVER liked a pina colada or mojito. His recipes are well balanced and DELICIOUS. I actually only made 1 drink for 2 of us on drink #1 because I was sure I wouldn't like it. I was wrong. I was SO wrong that we signed up for 2 more of his classes and will continue to learn about spirits from him to broaden our options and what we offer to guests. He is also....hands down.....the best virtual teacher we've had so far. You can tell he's been doing this a while.

I attended the “Vacation Cocktails” class a few weeks ago and I had an absolute blast! The class was so fun and Anthony was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The class was fun and informative. I’m not a big fan of tequila but found myself enjoying both drinks. I will definitely make these again.

The Professor was knowledge and entertaining and created an inclusive environment amongst strangers. I hadn't thought of myself as a rum drinker but LOVED our two cocktails and will be making them again. I will even confess to making another Daiquiri Colada after the class was over.

The ABSOLUTE BEST!! Let me start off this review by saying anything made with bourbon was not my drink of choice but after this class I have two new favorite drinks that include bourbon. My husband booked this class as a surprise for date night and asked me to be open-minded and I’m so glad he did. “Professor Baker” was amazing, his personality was very entertaining and he was very knowledgeable about the history of bourbon and the drinks we made. The drink recipes were 10/10 *chef kisses* !!! We loved his class so much we immediately signed up for the mimosa class! We look forward to trying his other classes as well!!!! "Classic Bourbon Cocktails" was our first ever online cocktail class and we super enjoyed it!! Professor Baker (Mixologist Anthony) was fun-spirited, super knowledgeable about all things whiskey and bourbon and bitters, and interactive with attendees. Had a fantastic evening learning some new with Professor Baker. He took time to make sure everyone was able to follow along and not only understand 'how' to make fantastic drinks, but 'why' the ingredients work well together... and how to slightly change some drinks to meet your specific tastes. He did a great job of fielding many questions thrown his way, as well as keeping our (sometimes rowdy) group together and learning some new tricks along the way.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a way to enjoy a few AMAZING drinks, have a few laughs, and learn some new tricks and tips along the way!

This class was great! Not only did I learn a few new drink recipes, but I learned the science behind different cocktails so that I can make my own recipes. And the history so I can make good conversation. The mixologist also taught me how to make non-alcoholic versions of every drink so I can host all of my friends no matter their preference. I took an online class with Professor Baker maybe 3 times now. And wow...I learn something new every single time. He's so great at explaining things, and he makes it so fun to learn with him. You could ask him anything and he will take the time to explain it to you so until you fully understand. I'll be booking with him here on Cozymeal soon.

I tend to get cocktail lessons from "Professor Baker" whenever he does Instagram live streams. He's great, and his passion for cocktails makes me want to be more dedicated to the craft. And I've never even bartended lol

Anthony is a great teacher. Everyone in his presence feels his passion and energy for cocktails. At Momentum Mixology, his title was "the Professor" and you don't earn a title like that in this industry unless you are very well-respected. He's earned it. Can't wait to book classes with him here.

I was a students of Anthony's at The European Bartender School. He's taught me about cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and even flair! Actually, this school is where he earned the nickname "Professor" because he was always so professional yet made everything so fun. Awesome guy, very fun and loves to teach.

I worked with Anthony at Mathew's Restaurant in Jersey City. He was awesome to work with, and fun...although he's a bit of a control freak. It's entertaining to watch him though because he's very passionate about his work and puts so much care into it, and he wants you to do the same. You'll learn a lot from him.

I've never taken a class with Anthony "the Professor" Baker, but my sister has. He taught her about cocktails, and now she can't stop raving about how much she has learned from him. Apparently, his greatest quality is that he listens and understands that you are a beginner in making home cocktails, so he is very patient and tries to make the learning process fun. Now that he is on Cozymeal, I will book a class with him and experience this for myself since I'm now into making cocktails at home.

Professor Baker deserves 10-stars. He taught me about cocktails when I took a Mixology Class with him while he was at the New York European Bartender School. I was in the process of opening my own bar in Ohio, and even after the course was over, Mr. Baker stayed in contact with me to help me create my cocktail menu. He's awesome. Whoever takes a class with him is in for an amazing experience.

Anthony (or Professor Baker) taught me how to make cocktails when I saw him at Liquor Lab. The man is a wealth of knowledge, and is so passionate about his work...so he gets super-animated at times. He's so fun to watch.

I worked with Anthony Baker at Mathew's Food & Drink. I was a bartender, and he was the Head Bartender, so whenever I needed training on new cocktails or procedures, he was the guy to go to. Let me tell you, he is extraordinarily patient, and he really wants you to learn in the best way possible. So he makes his trainings fun. He's absolutely perfect for online mixology classes because there's never a dull moment with him.

Anthony was the best teacher I could have asked for for my first mixology/bartending course, thanks to his knowledge, patience, and passion I was able to really get to the core of what the art of mixing drinks is supposed to be and to this day I'm still applying his principles to create great cocktails whether behind a bar at work or with friends. I attended a class at Liquor Lab in Nashville, TN where Anthony was our mixologist host for the class. He kept the energy in the room fun and exciting the whole night! He took the time to interact with every party that was there and made connections. He was very friendly and helpful. I would instantly take another class with him if I had the opportunity to!

Baker is a truly a master mixologist. His videos are easy to watch, often with a good dose of humor, and there is always a fun lesson and delicious cocktail to learn about. You can tell he is passionate about his craft and the ingredients he is using - he will help you take a well balanced, complex drink and break it down in simple steps to recreate for yourself.

Anthony is a knowledgeable and experienced mixologist who happens to be a wonderful teacher at the same time! Studying mixology with him was fun, and I learned more than I had expected. I feel blessed to have learned from him.
