When Does the Starbucks Holiday Menu Come Out?

The arrival of the Starbucks holiday menu has become an annual tradition for many coffee lovers and a signal that the festive season has really begun. Anticipation is palpable, as we wait to get our hands on this year's menu items. So the question on everybody’s lips is: “When do Starbucks holiday drinks come out?”

The new Starbucks holiday menu will be officially released on November 7, 2024, as confirmed by the brand on October 30, 2024. While the Starbucks holiday menu launch is about a week later this year than it was last year (when the menu launched on November 1), the November 7 date gives the brand some extra time to bring the Starbucks fall drinks menu to a close and change its marketing for the new festive lineup.

When Does Starbucks’ Holiday Menu End?

All good things come to an end, including the Starbucks holiday menu. There’s no official word from Starbucks yet about when the seasonal menu will disappear but typically, holiday beverages tend to be removed from the menu in the second week of January to make way for the Starbucks winter menu.

Starbucks Holiday Drinks 2024

The Starbucks holiday drink menu has steered more towards giving people their regular favorites rather than adding a lot of new beverages this year. That means you can expect to see lots of favorites from last year returning, with a few new items thrown into the mix.

So, which beverages can you order from the Starbucks holiday menu in 2024? Here's the full festive list:

Caramel Brûlée Latte 

A regular favorite of the Starbucks holiday season, the caramel brûlée latte features caramel sauce mixed with espresso and hot milk. You can have an iced version too if you’d rather.

Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte

Returning for another holiday season, this latte combines sugar cookie syrup with a shot of espresso, almond milk and red and green sprinkles. It’s usually served as an iced drink but can be enjoyed hot too. While this may not be the healthiest Starbucks drink around, it is the holidays after all — so go ahead and treat yourself! 

Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai

Introduced last year, this non-dairy drink became a hit among Starbucks regulars. It’s a perfect transitional drink to move from fall into winter thanks to its mix of warming spices and combination of gingerbread syrup and gingerbread cold foam.

Peppermint Mocha 

Fans of mint flavors will be happy to hear that the peppermint mocha is back for another year on the Starbucks holiday drink menu. This classic beverage is making a comeback in 2024 for its 22nd year, having first been launched on the Starbucks holiday menu in 2002. You can enjoy it hot, iced or blended.

Chestnut Praline Latte

Another favorite returning for 2024 is the chestnut praline latte. This warming option embodies the holidays and features notes of chestnut combined with sweet praline. It’s all topped with whipped cream and praline crumbles. As with other Starbucks holiday menu drinks, it can be ordered hot, iced or as a blended Frappuccino.

Cran-Merry Orange Refresher

This fresh face to the Starbucks holiday menu features classic holiday flavors of orange and cranberry, plus a touch of warm spices and an infusion of green coffee extract. It even comes with real cranberries that add extra flavor and festive flair. This first version is mixed with water, but for a fizzy treat, you can ask for it to be mixed with sparkling water from the refrigerated drinks case.  

Cran-Merry Orange Lemonade Refresher

For those who like sweet drinks, this second variation of the Cran-Merry Refresher is a must-order! It sees the regular version mixed with lemonade instead of water for a sugary and citrus kick.

Cran-Merry Drink 

The final version of this Starbucks holiday menu drink combines the regular cranberry and orange Refresher with coconut milk for a creamy beverage that's part-festive flavors and part-vacation vibes.

Does Starbucks Have Eggnog Lattes This Year?

The Starbucks eggnog latte has been one of the most popular drinks on the holiday menu but, unfortunately for eggnog fans, it won’t appear on the menu for Christmas 2024. Luckily, there are many other festive treats to enjoy this year. You may even find a new favorite on the Starbucks holiday menu for 2024!

Is Starbucks Chestnut Praline Back for 2024?

Yes. This beloved addition to the Starbucks holiday menu is scheduled to make a return this year. Combining whipped cream, espresso and the signature blend of spices and caramelized chestnut flavor, this is a true customer favorite. It’s going to be available hot, iced or blended and can be customized with any of the new cold foams appearing on the Starbucks holiday menu (more on those below).

The new Starbucks holiday menu also allows you to customize your beverages with a range of cold foams, including new varieties and those returning from last year. Add them to a holiday menu drink for even more festive flavor or use them as a seasonal kick to a classic cappuccino, latte or other regular menu favorite.

If you’re looking to treat yourself to a snack with your coffee this winter, the Starbucks holiday menu has a range of seasonal treats that will get you into the festive mood. Some are returning favorites and some are fresh new choices that might just become new favorites. 

The holiday food items to enjoy this season are: 

Cranberry Bliss Bar

A popular favorite from last year’s Starbucks holiday menu, the Cranberry Bliss Bar is returning for 2024. This treat comprises a blondie-style cake slice that’s full of dried cranberries. It’s finished with cream cheese icing that’s infused with orange zest and more cranberries.

Sugar Plum Cheese Danish

Another popular returning item on the Starbucks holiday menu, this Danish contains cream cheese with a topping of spiced plum. It’s a welcome addition to the usual Starbucks breakfast menu but, like everything on our list, can only be enjoyed until January.

Dark Toffee Bundt Cake

This cake is a new item on the Starbucks holiday menu for 2024. The miniature, individual bundt cake has a rich toffee flavor and is decorated with holly and mistletoe sprinkles for a real feel of Christmas.

Turkey and Sage Danish 

Great for the Thanksgiving period, this new choice on the Starbucks holiday menu is a savory pastry filled with a mix of béchamel sauce, sage and turkey sausage.

Snowman Cake Pop

Cake pops frequently make an appearance on the holiday menu, adding a festive design and flavor to the regular menu pops. This year, you can enjoy a cute snowman cake pop with a vanilla cake center, white chocolate coating and adorable snowman face decoration.

Penguin Cookie 

While the much-loved snowman cookie won’t be returning this year (more on this below), a fun penguin cookie will be taking its place. The round sugar cookie is decorated with a penguin face design and goes perfectly with any of the Starbucks holiday menu drinks available this year.

Is the Starbucks Snowman Cookie Returning?

Unfortunately, this frosty favorite hasn’t made it onto the Starbucks holiday menu for the 2024 season. However, those looking for a snowy treat will be pleased to see the launch of a vanilla-flavored snowman cake pop instead. This cake pop, complete with a decorative white chocolate candy melt coating and a cheery snowman face design, takes the place of the reindeer cake pop seen in 2021 and 2022 and the peppermint brownie cake pop from 2023.

Cookies aren’t off the Starbucks holiday menu completely though. As mentioned, there’s a cute new penguin cookie joining the ranks. This has replaced last year’s snowman cookie but could become a regular if it proves to be popular.

What’s Missing From the Starbucks Holiday Menu?

As mentioned, the snowman cookie is not available this year, being replaced with a penguin cookie and a snowman cake pop. While the cookie has a different design, it uses similar ingredients, allowing you to still enjoy a festive sugar cookie treat this holiday season at Starbucks. The eggnog latte is also missing from this year's line-up.

However, it’s not just eggnog lattes that have failed to make it onto the Starbucks holiday menu this year. Toasted white chocolate mochas and gingerbread hot chocolates are also notable omissions from the red cup squad, with this being the second year that fans will be disappointed to see the toasted white chocolate mocha missing from the menu.

Luckily, you can make your own versions of these drinks, and many more, by using a few hacks from the Starbucks secret menu. To make a gingerbread hot chocolate, simply order a standard hot chocolate and add a shot of gingerbread syrup. For a toasted white chocolate mocha, order a white chocolate mocha and add a shot or two of hazelnut or chestnut praline and a shot or two of vanilla (toasted vanilla if available) syrup.

What Else Is on the Starbucks Holiday Menu?

Starbucks isn’t only launching a festive food and drink menu this year. A cool collection of festive mugs and reusable coffee cups will be released in line with the Starbucks holiday food and drink menu. This includes ceramic mugs, reusable take-out cups, cold cups and more.

Of course, the release of the holiday menu also sees the return of the iconic holiday take-out cups. The official design this year includes the classic Starbucks holiday red, plus white, green and light pink in three geometric-style patterns. The iced drink cups are also sporting a holiday bauble design this year.

To round out the full seasonal offerings, Starbucks is launching new holiday ornaments and seven holiday gift card designs. 

Each year, the Starbucks holiday menu becomes a hot topic, with lots of speculation about which drinks and treats have made the cut. Now we have the details for 2024, it’s time to start planning your coffee choices for the festive season.
