Cooking Class - French Japanese Fusion

What You’ll Do

Learn to fuse tried and true traditional French techniques with the exoticism of Japanese cuisine.

In this hands-on class with Chef Stephanie, you will discover how beautifully French and Japanese play together as you work your way through preparing Chef Stephanie's unique four-course fusion menu.

You will begin by learning how to make a succulent shrimp satay. Next, you will move onto a simple stir-fried chicken dish complete with a sweet and sour tamarind glaze as well as a classic French cucumber salad infused with Japanese lemongrass. Lastly, you will hone an authentic French pastry technique to bake a luscious custard starring star anise.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Her cooking classes promise to be both fun and exciting as well as a memorable learning experience. She teaches the fundamentals, like kitchen tools and culinary techniques, while also fostering confidence to be creative in the kitchen with ingredients and flavors that are both traditional and exotic.

It was fantastic.  I booked this event as a surprise for my wife who has been attempting to make the Macarons and not achieving the results she was happy with.  We learned so much and really enjoyed how helpful Chef Stephanie was.  She made leaning fun and gave us many pro tips we can use going forward.  I scored many points with my wife, and we look forward to taking another class soon.  Maybe how to make croissants?!

In the macaron lesson, Chef Stephanie patiently and enthusiastically led us through each step. She shared her love of French pastries and offered very helpful advice that simplified hard tasks. Our macarons under her instruction were delicious and professional-looking. Highly recommended!
