Cooking Class - Phyllo 101
Cooking Class - Phyllo 101
$ 95 Per person
all-inclusive: 3-hour class, 3-course meal.
Get acquainted with phyllo — a versatile dough that can be used for any course.
In this hands-on vegan class, Chef Sawsan will teach you the basics of handling phyllo and how you can use it in nearly any dish from appetizer to entrée to dessert.
Phyllo, also spelled filo and Greek for "leaf," is tissue-thin sheets of dough that have very little fat. When phyllo is baked, the layers become airy, crisp, and beautifully flaky. Many popular Greek dishes are made with phyllo dough, three of which you will learn how to prepare in this class, including spinach-layered spanakopita and baklava with decadent syrup.
Guests are welcome to purchase wine and beer from the venue.
Spanakopita
Spinach "feta" triangles
Creamy Mushroom Cigars
