What You’ll Do

Take a culinary tour of the American Southwest with signature flavors from the region.

This interactive cooking class explores regional ingredients and techniques in a vibrant menu. Discover the unique influence of Mexican and Indigenous cooking on Southwestern cuisine with green chile stew and jalapeño-cheddar cornbread. The chef teaches you to grill shrimp finished with cilantro-chile butter and make crunchy churro fritters with Mexican chocolate sauce.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

Driven by a lifelong passion for food, he pursued his culinary education at the Institute for Culinary Education in NYC, graduating with highest honors. Chef Shawn brings warmth, expertise and a hands-on approach to each class, aiming to inspire and connect people through memorable culinary experiences crafted with care and creativity.

We felt that the class was disorganized and 16 is too many people for this space. The class ran late so we were handed our food to go. Would have been nice to enjoy hot.

There were too many people in too small a space. It was not truly a hands-on experience. We were lucky to be in the front so we could see, but some people were in the back and/or not facing demo area.
