This hands-on cooking class is an ode to Carnival, channeling the sights, smells and sounds of the season in New Orleans. Feel free to dress for the occasion with a mask or costume as you join Chef Shelley to create a feast of traditional dishes served during those festive weeks in February.
You’ll elevate your skills while preparing oysters mosca and crab deviled eggs. Then, learn tips for making the ultimate Southern comfort dish: shrimp and sweet potato grits. And, of course, no celebration is complete without a decadent dessert! Book today and make this season even more special!

With oysters, butter, garlic, bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese
Crab Deviled Eggs
With boiled eggs, crab, mayonnaise, Creole mustard & seasoning and fish roe
Shrimp & Sweet Potato Grits
With trinity, pancetta, white wine, Creole seasoning, flour, butter, seafood stock, sweet potatoes and old fashioned grits
White Chocolate Almond Mousse
With white chocolate, eggs, heavy whipping cream and almond extract

Chef Shelley’s nearly 30 years of professional experience as a successful chef combined with her extensive event planning experience have equipped her to be one outstanding host to a variety of dynamic, hands-on cooking classes. Chef Shelley has spent a great deal of time cooking for many celebrities and dignitaries as well as teaching an array of classes for both children and adults. She is also the former owner of popular restaurant in Brooklyn.
