Cooking Class - West Asian Cuisine

What You’ll Do

Travel to Western Asia through culinary culture of Persian cuisine.

Discover Iranian and Persian cuisine's unique flavors and textures as you prepare traditional recipes in this cooking class. Led by a gourmet chef, you'll use new-found knife skills to slice ingredients for Shirazi, a cucumber, tomato and mint salad. Your entrée is grilled saffron chicken kebobs with Persian rice. For dessert, enjoy cream puffs with pistachio cream.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

Meet your chef


Chef Michael arrived in the culinary world as an all-around creative looking for his next challenge. His career in environmental and graphic design included work with Toyota and Amazon before his fascination with cuisine led him to Le Cordon Bleu for a blue ribbon program of study. He honed his talents further as assistant pastry chef at Le Marais. Now, Chef Michael applies his creativity to teaching others the art of cuisine.

This was a great experience. Chef Michael was very friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was well organized and chef Michael circulated and offered help to all groups. I would absolutely do this again and recommend to others.
