I liked the demonstration and directions were given. I would have liked to have been able to review the recipes as we were cooking. We needed more kitchen utensils, so everyone at our table could complete their tasks. Example, there was only one rolling pin for six people. The class was rushed because there was another class after our group and we had to eat really fast. I burned my tongue. These are minor things that can be changed. Overall, I had a wonderful time. Never would have thought that I could make Dim Sum. My group was fun and encouraging. Chef was a little feisty, knowledgeable, and fun.

Everyone was friendly (class mates and lead chief) it’s the reason for 2 stars instead of 1. The class was large though and we all had to share everything. For example, there were 16 of us and only 8 cutting boards, 3 working burners and only 8 steaks. The whole meal was split into 2 groups so technically it was a communal meal prep and we all shared the food at the end. All of the ingredients were separated into two groups and we all had to share in preparing everything. The chief read the instructions/recipes aloud, and we all occasionally got to prepare some of the food since again, there were 8 of us (in my group) to prepare the 1 meal. When I signed up to pay $100 for this cooking class, I don’t recall reading anything that said I would be working with others to prepare the dishes. In fact, I signed up for this specific class because it mentioned I could attend it solo instead of others stating it was for couples or pairs. So having to eat after other people wasn’t what I was expecting and definitely not what I wanted to do. I left the event grateful for having been placed into a group of lovely ladies, but again I was initially under the impression I would have my own cooking station to prepare my own meal from start to finish and that I would learn something new about either cooking or tips on kitchen etiquette and I left with nothing new and still hungry. Based on this experience I can’t recommend this experience.
