What You’ll Do

Explore a world of baked treats and learn how to make them

Take your kids on a three day baking adventures with our global cooking series! Under the expert guidance of a top instructor, young bakers will unlock their kitchen creativity and build confidence. With a range of tasty ingredients, they will learn to craft scrumptious baked goods from scratch, mastering mixing, kneading and proofing techniques, food prep skills and kitchen safety. From tackling tricky techniques to exploring global flavors, these engaging summer cooking classes are not to be missed!

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

I cannot recommend Chef Wendy's classes highly enough! This was my second class with her at Sur La Table, and both experiences were nothing short of amazing. Chef Wendy has a unique ability to make cooking both approachable and fun, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere that makes everyone feel at ease. In this class, we dove into the cozy flavors of French comfort food, and every moment was an absolute delight. From learning to slow-roast beef for the most flavorful beef bourguignon to crafting a perfectly balanced side salad, every step was explained with patience and expertise. The grand finale—chocolate crêpes with chantilly cream—was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable evening. Chef Wendy's passion for cooking shines through in every aspect of her teaching, and her friendly demeanor makes the experience all the more enjoyable. I walked away with not only new culinary skills but also a deeper appreciation for French cuisine. Bonus points for allowing us to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class—it made the evening feel even more special.
