Cooking Class - 3-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Global Recipes

What You’ll Do

This collaborative and engaging 3-day cooking experience will help young chefs reach their full potential.

This cooking series, designed for kids aged 7-11, is a culinary journey through cuisines from around the world. Throughout this 3-day summer cooking class, participants will work together to create a variety of authentic recipes, learning traditional techniques and contemporary flavors. Participants will also learn the basic safety protocols of working in a kitchen, as well as the importance of teamwork when it comes to preparing a meal. Young foodies will leave class with a strong understanding of different cuisines, as well as a fresh batch of tangible skills.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Great job, only mistake not matching the crème anglaise with the chocolate soufflé but you covered for it. We had a great time!

Eric did not provide any overview or background on what we were cooking and we all did portions of the dish with pretty minimal instruction. We had to ask numerous times for direction. We did manage to muddle through, and Eric was dealing with a lot of students.
