Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Baking 101 - Woodmere

What You’ll Do

Five days of baking adventures while teaching kids creativity, skills and safety in the kitchen.

Designed for ages 7-11, this cooking series will help your child become a skilled and creative baker. Over five days, your future chef will delve into the basics of baking while having fun in summer cooking classes. Each day, they will make a different meal focusing on the sweet and savory components of baking. From kneading dough and twisting pretzels to mastering decorating techniques, they’ll gain the confidence to bake for your next family gathering. They can also hang a well-deserved graduation certificate on the fridge at home.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

This was a great experience. Chef Michael was very friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was well organized and chef Michael circulated and offered help to all groups. I would absolutely do this again and recommend to others.
