Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Baked Goods - Natick

What You’ll Do

Encourage your child’s creativity with a fun, hands-on baking class.

In this interactive cooking series, kids ages 7-11 will be invited to learn baking basics like prepping ingredients, balancing flavors and kitchen safety as they follow a world-class chef through a variety of hand-picked fresh recipes. From mixing and making to decorating, this is one of those summer cooking classes that your child is sure to talk about all year long. Plus, at the end of the class, each student will take home their own graduation certificate and a specially printed menu that they can show off to friends and family.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

The overall experience was fun and educational. We had two groups on opposite sides of the room and the chef always her he back to our side when she was demoing something- even as simple as cutting. dicing- and it was hard to hear and impossible to see what she was doing.
