Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Beginner’s Bakeshop

What You’ll Do

Five days of baking fun for young cooks learning essential techniques and kitchen skills

This introductory cooking series designed for ages 7-11 teaches aspiring bakers a variety of bakeshop classics. Guided by a chef instructor, kids will learn essential baking techniques such as flipping crêpes, kneading dough and decorating cakes. Summer cooking classes meet young chefs at their level as they practice basic food preparation methods and kitchen safety best practices along with lifelong skills including communication and teamwork. At the end of the series, each student will take home a printed menu and graduation certificate to celebrate their new skills.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.
