What You’ll Do

Learn how to prepare fresh pasta in this hands-on class with Chef Matt.

As a culinary instructor, Chef Matt takes pride in guiding you through the intricate steps of creating your very own pasta dough and shapes, like farfalle, and his instruction doesn’t stop there! You will also learn how to create classic Italian sauces.

Homemade pasta is the result of carefully selected ingredients, well-crafted dough and the formation of perfect shapes for the perfect sauces, like Bolognese and herb-studded pesto. You'll also prepare a simple but flavorful salad for your appetizer and decadent bread pudding for dessert.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Since then, he has enjoyed every role from private chef to culinary instructor. Our party of four had a lot of fun and a great experience while making, cooking, and eating pasta and bread pudding with Chef Matt. We enjoyed learning how to prepare the meals and a few tips on how to cut and cook some of the vegetables. I would highly recommend Chef Matt for his knowledge, experience, and great sense of humor!

We had an absolutely fantastic time cooking with Matt and learned a huge amount. Matt is a very generous host and great to talk to. He made everything seem very simple and the dishes were delicious. We'll definitely be trying out the pasta recipes at home and looking out for more of Matt's courses. I highly recommend.

Chef Matt was awesome! He made the whole experience very chill and entertaining, while nicely answering all the questions we had. Plus the pasta was bomb!! I highly recommend Chef Matt, I will be back for sure :)

Chef Matt's pasta making class was great- really recommend it! He was very organized, gave us some great cooking tips, and prepared a delicious menu. Everything about the night was perfect and needless to say, it was an incredible meal. Hope to do another class again soon!

Chef Matt is amazing! He did a great job laying out all the ingredients at each of the stations, gave clear instructions (as well as tips for chopping onions and crushing garlic!), and he made sure to stop by each station regularly in case we needed anything and just to chat. Each dish turned out amazing - you'll be completely stuffed by the end of the night. I highly recommend Chef Matt and pasta making night. So fun!

Book with Chef Matt! You will dream about his food and take away some very valuable skills in the kitchen. I plan to have another private event with Matt so all of my friends and family can have the same wonderful experience I had. Highly recommended. I'd give him 10 stars if I could!

Chef Matt is the coolest. It was so fun to learn about pasta-making from him and hear about his travels in Alaska. Chef Matt is a fantastic teacher, a pleasure to talk to, and the food he makes is outstanding. He has some great cooking tricks to share and I now feel inspired to buy my own pasta machine. Loved his recipe for bolognese!

Working with Chef Matt was tremendous. He arrived on time, even asked if he could arrive a little early to get set up & ready to begin right on time. He brought any & all supplies you could need. He used premium ingredients which made the meal extremely flavorful. He was a great instructor, covering a multitude of cooking techniques, tips & tricks, & sharing lots of knowledge he’s learned through his passion of cooking. He is very interactive & makes the entire cooking experience approachable. I highly recommend chef Matt & will happily work with him again.

Cooking with Chef Matt was an awesome experience! He was super knowledgeable without being overly instructive. He was a great conversationalist, balancing cooking and chatting really well. I would absolutely recommend this class because the food was incredible (yes, seriously!) and I would absolutely recommend any class with Chef Matt because he was great! Overall, a really fun experience.

Matt was amazing. He had a cheese plate waiting for us and walked us through each dish he was going ti prepare. Not only was the food amazing, but Matt was great to talk to and was very open. His house is also very comfortable and a great place to have dinner. I will definitely book with Matt again.

Chef Matt was AWESOME! Not only was the food delicious but Chef Matt really took the time to walk us through every step of the process. He taught us cutting techniques, answered all of our random cooking related questions and even pretended to like our jokes. Overall, a great chef and a person you will thoroughly enjoy preparing and sharing a meal with!

We booked Chef Matt's Spanish Paella cooking class for our company team building event in December and really enjoyed it. Chef Matt is very professional, knowledgable while at the same time really nice to work with. The food was delicious and everyone had a great time. The Cozymeal team was very helpful in making this possible. We will definitely come back again!

Matt really knows how to host a good time! His food was AMAZING, his home was cozy, and his teaching skills were stellar! My boyfriend and I did a private class for date night. At the end of his class, we felt like pros in the kitchen and as if we had known Chef Matt for years. The best part about learning from Matt was his laid back energy. He really just went with the flow; calling shots (and taking shots) on the whim to make our time the most enjoyable :) His bolognese, pesto, and bourbon bread pudding are what my dreams are made of!! I definitely recommend booking a class with Chef Matt and it is without question that we will book him again.
