What You’ll Do

Create stunning vegan versions of classic American food from scratch.

Transform classic American favorites into vegan dishes in this engaging hands-on cooking class where Chef Maggie will guide you through a menu of four vegan recipes. To begin, create crispy cauliflower bites smothered in a homemade buffalo sauce and served with vegan ranch dip. Next, cook up golden-brown zucchini fritters to dip in a bright handmade berry sauce, and mix a vegan Caesar salad topped with vegan Parmesan cheese and briny capers. For dessert, Chef Maggie will teach you how to make vegan vanilla cupcakes.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Formerly a cook at a yoga and wellness retreat and sous chef at a vegan restaurant, this yoga instructor and current cooking school chef instructor is passionate about vegan food, which is evident in her curated plant-based creations. Chef Maggie is excited to share her culinary knowledge and expert techniques with you in a variety of cooking classes.

The American Vegan cooking class with Chef Maggie was excellent. She arrived a bit early and was super organized. She has a wonderful personality and the food was sooo good. We cooked the barbeque cauliflower with ranch sauce which was so tasty. The cupcakes and icing were perfect. The zucchini fritters were great and the caesar salad was wonderful. We had so much fun, what a great evening!!!

We had a wonderful time with Chef Maggie! We learned so much from her - she does a great job of explaining and showing what she was doing, then letting us try to do it ourselves. We ended up with a fantastic vegan taco dinner with homemade tortillas and dessert - totally delicious!! Maggie was also just a lovely, easy person to spend time with, was punctual and friendly, and was very gracious and flexible when we had a childcare snafu pop up in the middle of the class. All in all, we had a great time with Chef Maggie and highly, highly recommend her!

Maggie was so organized and prepared for our class. She taught us some great professional techniques, the meal was delicious and we have such a better understanding of vegan cooking techniques. By the end of class we were both flipping our own crepes!
