Master the art of crafting dumplings in this immersive lesson with Chef Edmund.
In this hands-on cooking class, you'll learn how to prepare dumplings by hand from wrappers and fillings to a variety of folding techniques. Taste soy sauces from across Asia to explore the essential element of umami, then apply your experience to create your own secret sauce to enjoy with your dumplings and a pork belly braise.
Knead and roll out the dough for your dumpling skins, then practice pleating the edges around a juicy pork filling using local and organic pork. Savory Chinese vegetables and a traditional red bean dessert round out this dinner party feast.
Please note that dumpling skins are made with organic all-purpose flour and gluten-free wrapper substitutions are not available. Guests with gluten intolerance or gluten-free dietary preferences cannot be accommodated.
This class is suitable for ages 15+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
