Chef Wen was delightful! Start to finish, the experience (Flavors of Beijing) was both instructive and fun. Chef arrived early to prep and stayed until all the cleanup was complete. The food was delicious and the conversation interesting. He kept us engaged and involved in the process throughout the evening, relating his experiences and history while patiently teaching and cooking. I highly recommend inviting him to cook for you in your home and share in the experience.

Chef Wen is amazing!! He was very knowledgable about Chinese cooking and was super engaging throughout the entire class. We learned so much about each dish and are excited to try making them on our own. This was a wonderful experience and highly recommend booking a class with him! Thank you for a great time :)

Chef Wen was highly knowledgeable about the cuisine and was a delight to watch. His class was very hands on and we were involved in every step of the way. I would highly recommend this class to anyone looking to further their knowledge of Chinese cuisine, or who simply enjoys eating Chinese cuisine.

Chef Wen has 40 years as a chef. That much is clear, we started off with some knife skills and made some cool decorations with his cleaver as our other guests were in route.
He brought his son and wife and they all helped make the night a total blast. Jing(sp?) was a bun master! She helped teach us how to fold them just right. What a talent!
Allan(Sp?), Chen Wen's son, was very helpful in translating some of the finer points of the preparation. Very awesome family! I speak a little Mandarin so that made it even better : )
We started with bun dough, letting it rise and do its thing.
Then we made the tan tan noodles. The sauce was AMAZING! Wowowowowowow!
Then we made potatoes with cane sugar, I didn't know about this traditional dish, and I lived in China for a while! IT was very cool, a totally delicious dish that is a cool party trick as well! String sugar makes it fun to show off!
Then we steamed the buns, which were freaking incredible. So authentic!
Besides preparing this mouth-watering feast, he kept our kitchen spotless. The only sign we had a professional chef in our midst was the lingering aroma of the killer food!
Do not pass up a meal with Chef Wen and his family!

Wen is very knowledgeable about traditional Chinese style cooking, and he is very patient when it come to teaching me. He is very well organized and always have something new to teach me very time.

Chef Wen is an amazing experience for soooo many reasons. His professional background is so impressive which is why he so skilled. His artistic touches made me and my guests says ‘wow’ - countless times. Finally the food: yum yum yum. We kept wanting to eating and couldn’t stop. My group was large and diverse yet Chef Wen accounted for everyone. I cannot recommend Chef Wen enough. Do it !

Chef Wen was recommended to me by a mutual friend through Instagram. My impression of him has always been that he is by far the most passionate and authentic chef that I have ever been able to come across, both in knowledge and as a person. He's the one who really taught me the importance of learning and practicing authentic Chinese cuisine. "It is an obligation for a Chinese immigrant to know and to preach the value of Chinese cooking as an intangible heritage of Chinese culture," I carry this epic quote by Chef Wen now everyday to fuel my pursuit for the betterment of my craft and I can honestly say that without meeting and learning from Chef Wen I wouldn't have been half the artist I am today with my cooking. In short, I highly recommend Chef Wen. He is a truly amazing chef who is more capable than anyone to guide you through your journey.
