Join Chef Gilley and learn techniques for creating and preparing the perfect dim sum.
Every culture has a snack that embodies the essence of that cuisine, and in China, it is dim sum. Usually steamed or stir-fried, these bite-sized dumplings come in a variety of shapes and ingredients. Learn how to make some of the most popular versions with Chef Gilley.
Begin with one of the most popular Chinese dishes in the world: Cold sesame noodles. You'll then move on to siu mai, steamed baskets filled with pork and shrimp. Finish up your dim sum feast with savory pan-fried chicken and scallion dumplings. You'll also learn to create your very own dumpling house-worthy chili oil to complement your meal.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Gilley is passionate about teaching the beauty of Chinese cuisine and hosting cooking classes to share his knowledge and experience with others. In the past, he has operated an extension of his family's restaurant at a weekly food fest in Brooklyn, and is currently serving up delectable dishes as a sous chef in New York. Chef Gilley is famous for his cold sesame noodles, which have been heralded by Gourmet Magazine and the New York Times.
