Chef Santiago demonstrates influences from Asia, Africa and Europe in modern Peruvian cooking.
Join Chef Santiago as you combine traditional Peruvian fare with modern cooking techniques and culinary influences from Asia, Africa and Europe.
Begin with a South American classic, ceviche — a marinated seafood appetizer with lime and cilantro for a flavor combination fresh from the sea. Then, move on to the street food of Lima with the Asian-influenced tallarin saltado, or stir-fried noodles. This dish is amazingly versatile with meat or vegetables. Finally, learn how to make one of Peru's favorite desserts: key lime pie made with tiny, highly acidic Peruvian limons.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
