What You’ll Do

Learn how to craft nigiri, maki and other sushi masterpieces with Chef John.

Explore the incredible world of sushi with Chef John as he showcases these succulent morsels you will learn how to craft on your own.

Start the night off with spicy miso soup you will prepare using authentic Japanese ingredients. Learn more about sushi than you ever thought possible as you create and roll maki using tuna, cucumber, avocado and shrimp tempura, and learn how to craft shrimp nigiri in traditional fashion. Sharpen your knife skills as you plate your dishes to perfection.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef John’s Sushi class was a gift to my husband for my his birthday and it didn’t disappoint. Chef was timely, very engaging, knowledgable and just a fun energetic guy. We had quite a memorable evening. Thank you Chef John for the 5 star experience.

Chef John was fantastic! We had a larger group of 12-14, and he was super accommodating and really easy to work with. If you are looking for a fun, informative, interactive activity to ensure that your group has a wonderful time and enjoys a delicious meal, I would highly recommend Chef John. It was an event to remember and everyone shared rave reviews!

We could not have been happier with our private cooking class with Chef John! He was prompt, accommodating and personable. He provided the perfect portions, the food was delicious, and we felt engaged in the process. The best part was definitely learning about the dishes we were preparing while learning about Chef John's culinary history. If you'd like to spend a few hours laughing, learning, and eating then definitely book Chef John!
