WHAT CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING ABOUT THESE PERSONAL CHEF EXPERIENCES in Cincinnati
02/10/2025
I was lucky enough to attend two classes recently, both taught by Kate. First, we went with some friends to a sushi making class. Then last week I went with a different friend to learn to make stuffed pasta. I thoroughly enjoyed both experiences and feel like I learned a lot and will be able to put those things into practice. I've already used one of the recipes I came home with for a winter squash salad that's delicious.

the food was plentiful and delicious! Chef Kate gave precise and thorough instructions. Our 3 person group had a great time and plan to take another class!

Chef Kate was excellent! She did a great job instructing and setting expectations, but kept it enjoyable. We had a very positive experience and would recommend this to anyone who's interested and eager to learn.

FAQs

How much does a private chef in Cincinnati cost?
The cost of a private chef for a dinner party generally ranges between $59 and over $100 per person, however, this can vary depending on several factors. For example, you can expect prices to fluctuate depending on the neighborhood you’re in. What’s more, whether you’re in Hyde Park or along The Banks, seasonality will also have an effect on the cost to hire in-home chefs, with key dates like Labor Day commanding stronger demand and therefore higher prices. Visit the web page of your chosen experience to get a basic idea of cost or contact our Concierge team, who’ll be more than happy to help refine your budget.
What is included when you hire a chef for the night?
The first and most important thing to expect when you hire Cincinnati chefs is to have everything taken care of for you. As well as handling all of the grocery shopping, your chef will bring with them any specialized equipment required to make your chosen dishes. In actual fact, when you invite chefs to cook at your home, all you’ll need to do is answer the door! From there, you can kick back and relax, enjoying time with your guests while your chef busies themselves in the kitchen. They’ll serve you and your guests course by course, and when you’re finished, full and ready to wind down, they’ll even handle the clean up.
What are the most popular cuisines with private chef experiences?
If you’re unsure whether or not your favorite cuisines are catered for by in-home chefs in Cincinnati, just know that each and every one draws inspiration from cultures around the world. This means that whether you’re in the mood for surf and turf, vibrant Asian dishes or luxury New American cuisine, you’re sure to find a private chef experience to suit you. Even if you can’t find an “out of the box” menu that tempts your tastebuds, your chef will gladly help to curate one that does. When you hire a chef, the most important thing to them is to ensure a seamless dining experience for you and your guests, so if you have any special requests, just ask.
How do I hire a chef or rent a chef?
If you’ve decided to enlist the help of a private chef for a dinner party, the process couldn’t be easier. The first thing to do is head to the Private Chef area of the Cozymeal website. From there, it’s easy to find chefs near you. Simply search by your city location, select your host, choose your menu and see if your ideal dates are available. Even if you can’t find what you’re looking for, don’t worry — that’s exactly what our Concierge team is here for. From alternative dates and pricing to menu customizations and more, whatever you query, simply reach out and somebody on the team will be more than happy to help.
How much should I tip my private chef?
The first thing to say is that when you hire a chef for the night, there is no obligation whatsoever to tip. Your chef’s priority is to provide an indulgent experience for you and your guests, regardless of whether you decide to tip. Of course, we understand that you might still wish to do so. After all, it’s a wonderful way to thank them for an evening of epicurean indulgence. If you do decide to give them a tip, the amount is entirely up to you. If you’re unsure, we usually suggest between 10% and 25% of the total cost of your experience.
Where do the experiences take place?
This is the first question we’ll ask when you decide to rent a chef for the evening. All that’s required in order to hire a chef for dinner is a clean, functional kitchen for them to work in. Provided that’s in place, it doesn’t matter whether you’re in The Banks, Hyde Park or Over-the-Rhine. Your chef will gladly come to your home or vacation rental, bringing with them all the ingredients plus any specialized equipment required to make your chosen menu. When they arrive, you can expect them to make themselves at home for the evening, commandeering your kitchen in order to provide you and your guests with a gourmet experience that you’re sure to remember forever.
