Chef Mathieu

Tonight was our first ever cooking class, and I have to say i’m happy that was able to experience it with Chef Mat! From the moment you walk into his place, he makes you feel comfortable and entertained. His personality and presence makes the term “never a dull moment” an understatement. His knowledge and ability to lead, while keeping everyone engaged is top notch. I encourage anyone who is considering to book his class… just do it! I promise you won’t regret it. Thank you Chef Mat for your kindness, hospitality and of course the delicious food, you made my friend’s birthday experience extra memorable this year.

Chef Mat was just the kind of person you hope to get when you sign up for a class like this - talented, knowledgeable, personable, professional. He reads the room and elevates the vibe with humour, sharing his own stories, a great playlist etc. He facilitated the group so that everyone could try doing a bit of everything, and gave some great, practical tips for us to use at home. The food itself was excellent, and the menu was very thoughtful - it felt elegant and special, but was actually very simple and easy to replicate again on our own, which was appreciated. HIghly recommended this class, it was a super fun way to spend a Friday night!

Chef Mat came to our place and provided a very enjoyable experience. We learned cutting and searing techniques and how to make good use of the things we have in our kitchen. The food was plenty and the conversation was great. We had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend!!

Chef Mat is absolutely amazing. He is so kind, personable, and funny—he also taught us some great tips and tricks! The food was incredibly delicious. Every course was prepared beautifully and we couldn’t believe how yummy everything was. Just perfect flavour combinations. We also have so many amazing leftovers!!! Chef Mat was awesome! My fiancé and I had such a fun time chatting, learning, and getting our hands dirty. Mat was great at making cooking feel like it can be accessible to everyone (no pasta machine or fancy equipment necessary) and he had great tips for beginner cooks like us. I'm definitely less intimated to make fresh pasta and more complex dishes on my own now. He was very timely and efficient with the prep work! This is a perfect date night activity or any occasion to have a delicious meal and learn how to make it.

We had a fantastic time. Mathieu was patient and took the time to truly instruct. Learned a lot, enjoyed a great meal with great conversation and lots of laughs. Highly recommend.

We had such a great experience with Chef Matt. There were six of us adults plus a baby and a puppy and I had no idea how someone could create a cohesive meal with us operating under such chaos, but he did! All while making us laugh and helping create a delicious birthday that we will always remember.

Chef Matt was great. He was prompt, fully prepared, informative and engaging the whole evening. It was the perfect birthday gift experience. Food was awesome and everyone learned something useful. 5 stars from us.

We had such a great time with Chef Mathieu ! Je is very approachable and knowledgeable. Cooking Indian cuisine with him seemed so easy :) it was fun and tasty. We'll be back for sure !! Thanks for the great time (he does speak French too which was a nice surprise for us)

I had an amazing time. I don't know if there is a better way to spend Friday evening than to cook Italian food while sipping wine and listening to favorite music. Thank you, chef, for all your guidelines, support and entertainingly educational atmosphere that you managed to create:)

Overall incredible experience. The class was really good and very easy to follow along with each step. The food was amazing and Mat made it a very fun experience. I would highly recommend hiring him.

We enjoyed this class very much! Chef Matt is a great teacher! He showed us how and then let us do the work. He gave us so many tips and techniques that we’ll be able to use at home to make meal prep easier and he explained why these techniques work. He was funny and very genuine and the food we cooked together was delicious! We would highly recommend this class!

Chef Mat was awesome! His thoughtfulness with the different added elements throughout the evening, made my sister’s birthday very special. The cooking aspect was also very fun and the menu he created was super unique. 10/10 recommend!

My girlfriend and I had a great time cooking with Chef Mathieu. You can tell immediately he has a passion for cooking and teaching others from his stories about his family, the industry, and teaching people from all age groups. He was patient and thorough with instructions, and always explained why we were doing things which helps you appreciate the final product more. He's also a fun guy to be around. Always cracking jokes and laughing, making us feel very comfortable in his home. 10/10 super fun date night.

Chef Mat was incredible! We had such a great time (lots of laughs!) and learnt skills like making pasta from scratch and preparing squid, which we would never have attempted at home. A very unforgettable experience. Highly recommend :)

Chef Mathieu was really great and we had an awesome time there! The food was really good, even though we had some smalls changes in the menu, everything was delicious! Specially the squid :)
