Master the art of sushi making in this engaging Asian cooking class. Master these Japanese cuisine staples with ease under the expert guidance of Chef Mike.

Kick off the experience with a flavorful sesame garlic edamame starter before diving into crafting classic sushi rolls. For the sushi - you'll first prepare the perfect rice as a base and craft a spicy mayo condiment to boost the flavors. Create delicious salmon maki rolls and customizable California rolls with your choice of seafood. Finish with a sweet treat of chewy matcha almond cookies, prepared by the Chef in advance, to end on a delightful note.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Mike has experience concocting a wide range of ethnic cuisines, including Thai, Indian and Ethiopian options. For the past five years, he has led a variety of cooking workshops, but his specialty lies in crafting ethnic plant-based dishes. Chef Mike has worked in corporate test kitchens for Walmart and Campbells, and he even worked as an on-call assistant to the chef of the Canadian Prime Minister. He is eager to impart his worldly knowledge unto aspiring chefs.

Chef Mike was very knowledgeable and skilled in showing us how to make Sushi rolls. He had some great tips for everyday cooking. He made us feel at ease and was engaging and entertaining. A wonderful experience.

We had a great time at the Ethiopian cooking class at Chef Mike's place! It was professional but friendly and homey. We learned a lot, as Chef Mike anwered all of our questions and provided great cooking tips from his many years of experience and knowledge. The food was excellent and we feel confident we can recreate these dishes in our own home. The company of other classmates was delightful and overall it was a great night. We look forward to trying another class for another special occasion.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Chef Mike. We learned a lot from Mike he is very knowledgeable about all aspects of food, from preparation to how it benefits your gut health. He has a great sense of humour and his ability to juggle questions, multiple recipes and dishes at the same time was impressive. The dishes that we prepared were excellent in flavour, quality and quantity. Would definitely recommend.
