Food was great - def tasted like a warm home cooked meal. The samosas and palm sugar dessert were awesome! Desiree is a great host and fun conversationalist. We had some good laughs that night and would totally recommend this to others!!

Desiree was such a funny outgoing animated host, we had a good 7 people in her cozy boat and she worked her magic in the kitchen – learned a lot about Peranankan food/culture and tried a bunch of spices jams and foods that I would not know how to buy at supermarkets on my own. I'll definitely be recommending her to friends!

Great food and a wonderful experience. Desiree was a great host and introduced us to a bunch of Peranakan food, all of which were delicious. The stew with nuts was great. And of course everything tastes better on a boat!

Desiree blew us away with her food, hospitality and unique setting. A well thought out menu ensured everyone in the group was beyond satisfied. She is a very bubbly personality which makes everyone feel at home instantly. Will recommend her highly and will return to her for sure!

Awesome! I booked for five of us and she managed to cook an amazing dinner for us in her small boat kitchen. We loved everything, the sardine puffs, the chicken stew, the dessert.

I had such a wonderful time with Chef Desireé on her lovely boat in the peaceful Berkeley marina. The food was incredible and even though I hadn't heard of Paranakan food before, I was delighted by the flavor of the food and the authentic manner in which it was prepared. I will definitely be going back for more!

What an adventure, from finding the right pier in the Berkeley Marina right up to the satisfying "pop" of the sweet potato-palm sugar dessert! Desiree is a wonderful host, welcoming guests onto her 30' boat for an afternoon of sunshine, wonderful scents, and new flavors. I can't wait for my next taste of Singapore's famous hawker fare, made by Desiree!
